Leclerc drove slightly "sloppy" on the first lap of the Russian Grand Prix, but the Ferrari driver performed perfectly in the next 52 laps, and he took home sixth place-this is his five races best result.
Leclerc entangled with Stoll at turn four, and he hit the match point driver against the wall. Leclerc started at P10 and reached P8 at the end of the first lap. After leading Renault's Ocon through strategy, he finally hovered between the two Renaults.
Leclerc said after the game: "I am very happy today. Again, since the beginning of the season, having been in the P6 position is difficult to satisfy, but that is the truth. We made the most of today's."
"Yesterday I was disappointed in qualifying, but in the end I think we can't do better. This weekend is still very happy, now we need to understand what we did differently, in the competition we are better than in Mujie Luo is much better, but this is a good improvement."
"We brought some small upgrades for this weekend, but I don't think this is the reason for all of our performance improvements. But it does go in the right direction and we should make a bigger upgrade for the next Grand Prix. We are working in the right direction, so it should be a good thing."
